So, what you’re telling me is that Americas core values lie on a high schools choice to appoint someone as prom queen? Hm. I didn’t know high school proms held such power of Americas legal issues. Man we need to stop doing what we’re doing and focus on the real issue here, which so obviously is Americas prom elections. I’m so glad we got to the bottom of this.
All the while this girl is having the time of her life finally being accepted, joke or not. This one glimmer of awesomeness in her otherwise judged and harassed life as a trans woman, that these commenters are all making so clear, by the way, and they’re saying America is going to shit.
Well people let me tell you this: AMERICA IS GOING TO SHIT WHEN SHIT PEOPLE LIKE YOU DECIDE YOU KNOW WHATS WRONG OR WHATS RIGHT FOR THE REST OF US AMERICANS. Please, PLEASE explain to me what logical excuse you have that says how this is morally wrong…because I don’t get. I really don’t. Someone’s else’s happiness…someone who rises above all these comments, that I can tell you right now I’m sure she’s heard before, rises above all this hardship and still shines. This is wrong? Actually that sounds like every other awesome story about some great American that overcomes huge amounts of hardship to reach what they deserve. Forget deserve, what they’re entitled to.
As for an explanation to your kid that this “kid” beat her, maybe if you equipped them for the real world by taking into consideration that different kind of people exist maybe you wouldn’t be in this mess would you, but somehow it’s so uncomfortable so you decide not to because it’ll never happen. Well OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES PEOPLE! This is America and not only is America a melting pot of different races and cultures, but also sub cultures like that of the LGBTQ community. T for transgender for those of you who don’t know.
If you want to live in America, culture your ignorance because you’re going to be confronted with different situations in your life and I’m sure as hell you’ll be confronted by something similar to this. So be a good American and treat other humans with respect instead of embarrassing us all with how petty and selfish you can be because you’re “uncomfortable” with something you’re not accustomed to.
AND, what’s really sad is that there are Americans like these commenters that feel that these words they’re saying to a child, regardless of their gender, thinks THIS is normal behavior.
You disgust me.
